Kapton tape, 33m
Kapton (Polyimides) - are highly chemically resistant to solvents, oils, acids and other chemicals. Kapton is also highly resistant to ultraviolet radiation and alpha, beta and gamma radiation. Kapton tape is highly stable at both low and high temperatures - it can withstand 260°C in the long term and up to 300°C in the short term. It is therefore more than suitable for protecting electronic board contacts during wave soldering and other high temperature electronics applications.
The most common applications in electronics - protective tapes during soldering of printed circuit boards, pressure switches, sensors, insulating pads, fixation of motor windings and magnet windings, capacitor manufacturing, flexible printed circuit boards, protection of optical cables, microphones and loudspeakers. Kapton tape is also used in other industries such as automotive, chemical, medical, communications, military, marine, mining, powder coating...
